Pastors Boyd Whaley and Lynne Smith will continue to explore what it means to be a Christian as we follow Jesus to Jerusalem in the Gospel of Mark.
“Sacrifice”, In Mark 15, Jesus became deeply accepting of death as the requirement for the birth of a new thing and he willingly chose to walk the journey of suffering and sacrifice. His trust in the transformational process and willingness to participate in it changed the world.
Breakfast will be served immediately following the service.
A very special “Thank You” to our August Cooks: Correy and Bob Herb.
The following Chapel service will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018.
The officers and board members of the Lake Berkeley Chapel extend an invitation to our Berkeley Lake neighbors to join us in worship. Services are offered 8:30am the 2nd Sunday of each month. Worship music is provided by the always excellent, Georgia Gospelites.
Coffee is ready by 8:15am and a delicious community breakfast is offered immediately following the service at approximately 9:15am.
As a reminder, there are friends and neighbors in our city who are suffering hardship or illness. During the Chapel service, prayer requests are shared. Please let us know if you or someone you love should be included. Anyone on the Chapel Board can be contacted or e-mail can be sent to the Chapel Board Secretary.
